Description

The Institute of Hospitality is the professional body for individual managers and aspiring managers working and studying in the hospitality, leisure and tourism (HLT) industry.

Formerly known as the HCIMA, they implemented a name change to the Institute of Hospitality in 2007. The resulting need for a rebrand was more of an evolution of existing materials rather than revolution.

However, I felt the update could adopt a fresher, open and more contemorary feel.

First was the logo with a new typeface (Neo Sans, which is more contemporary and isnt a particularly well known typeface, unlike Gill).

Subsequently, refinements to the covers and internals of various leaflets and forms took place with the introduction of rounded corners and the use of a fresher grey tint on the left side.

Additionally their newsletter, membershipnews, also underwent the knife with a fresher and more open feel.
